Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its flagship fund CI IV, has taken a final investment decision (FID) on two new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
With construction works scheduled to begin late this year, the facilities are expected to be commissioned in the first half of 2026. Copenhagen Energy has been developing the projects since the start of 2024.

Commenting on the Danish energy storage market, Copenhagen Energy said that it offers a solid mix of revenue opportunities through both ancillary services and energy arbitrage.
